Decorate Your Own Cupcake Bar – Perfect for Parties!

Celebrate any occasion with a Decorate Your Own Cupcake Bar! Whether you’re throwing an awesome birthday bash or need ideas for a fun indoor dessert table, this cupcake bar is sure to leave a lasting impression on all of your guests.

To celebrate one last hoorah, I decided to throw a Decorate Your Own Cupcake party for the kids before they return back to school. I made their favorite flavors of cake baked them inside an ice cream cone. This makes the cupcakes easier for them to hold while they are decorating them. 

Remeber, there are no rules when it comes to cupcakes! 

Becuase I wanted bright, beautiful colors, and a spread that would make my kids’ eyes pop, I decided to go with candy from Celebration by Frey. I mean, just look at that collection!  They offer giant gumballs, Pearls and Sixlets® in a large variety of colors that will allow you to coordinate with the theme of any event. 

For our Decorate Your Own Cupcake Party, I chose all of the pastel shimmery colors. If you’re not very creative in the decorating department, no need to worry. Celebration by Frey offers a great collection called MixLicious where you will find a variety of ready-made mixes. Easy-peasy! 

Something else I just love about Celebration by Frey is the no artificial colors collection which are offered in Sixlets® and Pearls™ (these are also no artificial flavors) and are the first line in the edible baking decorations category. The shimmer™ jewel-toned hues come in 5 colors – Shimmer Pink, Shimmer White, Shimmer Powder Blue, Shimmer Lavender, and Shimmer Lime Green.

Once the cupcakes are baked and frosted, the table is full of beautiful candy from Celebration by Frey, and I have plenty of napkins nearby, I was ready to unleash the kids. I wish I would have captured the exact moment I let them come outside to see their cupcake party. 

Trust me when I say Josephine wasted no time in getting started. She dove head first into all of the bowls filled with beautiful candies and chocolates. Normally I wouldn’t allow them to overload in so many sweets, but heck, I did say it was the last hoorah before school started.  We had to go out with a bang. 

And besides, have you ever seen anyone so happy to be eating a cupcake?! 

Our cupcake party went well into the evening because decorating your own cupcakes is serious business. The kids had such a great time and loved putting their own twist and personalities on their cupcakes.
