DIY Fall Can Décor
This beautiful DIY Fall Can Décor is the perfect way to add a pop of Fall colors to the outside of your home! Or, let the colors of fall transform your dining room table. Either way, you can whip this statement piece out in less than 30 mins and costs right around $10 to make.
Supplies:
Metal can – It can be any size, but I used a large can of Peaches.
Ribbon & twine rope
- Silk Flowers – {I bought my flowers at Hobby Lobby with their 40% off online coupon, but you may find beautiful flowers as well at Dollar Tree and Wal-Mart}
- Wire Cutters
- Styrofoam
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun & glue sticks
Instructions:
Wash & dry your can. Make sure to remove any of the glue from the can label.
Cut your Styrofoam in half and stuff it inside the can so that it fits nice & tight.
If you’d like to hang your can, you can use ribbon or twine rope like I did and glue it on the sides of the can forming a loop.
Then you may add ribbon around the can to add texture and color.
Cut & separate the silk flowers, and stick them into the styrofoam. Don’t worry about making it look neat and organized. The intended look for this arrangement is to make it look like you picked fresh flowers from a field or bought some at the market.
You can hang your arrangement or you can use it as a centerpiece (just make sure to tuck in the hanging rope inside the can before placing the flowers).
