Healthy Coffee Banana Smoothie
If you aren’t a morning person (like me) this Healthy Coffee Banana Smoothie just might change your mind. It is the perfect way to start your day! This recipe is super filling and has enough caffeine to give you the morning boost you’re looking for. Or, it could also be a great mid-afternoon snack when you need an extra pick-me-up.
To be completely honest, I am not much of a coffee person. The smell, the taste and the weird grit it leaves in the cup are not very appealing to me. A lot of people I see drinking coffee have to drown it with some sugary syrups or other additives in order to drink it and I just don’t really see the point. I am more of a tea drinker myself. Now, I am not knocking all of you wonderful coffee drinkers. To each their own, right?
In spite of my weird relationship with coffee I decided to try something new. I combined my favorite banana smoothing with a dash of coffee and ended up with pure magic. A real game changer folks.
So here it is! The best of both worlds.
- 1 Cup milk
- ¼ Cup coffee
- 1 Banana
- ⅛ Cup rolled oats
- ½ Tsp vanilla
Place all the ingredients into the blender and pulse until creamy.
Pour smoothie into a glass. Decorate with some banana and sprinkle some cinnamon on top. Serve and enjoy!
