Niagara Falls USA Hotel Review: Sheraton at the Falls
We recently embarked on an incredible weekend trip from our home in Indianapolis, IN to Niagara Falls, NY. As with any trip we take with the kids, it can be filled with lots of happy moments, or some pull-your-hair-out moments, though most of the time it’s a mix of the two. Thankfully, the all-new family suites at the ‘Sheraton at the Falls‘ hotel suited us perfectly.
The Property
For starters, this Sheraton hotel is located in the center of the action, and only 0.4 mi. from the entrance to Niagara Falls State Park. The property is surrounded by many restaurants, which comes in super handy after a long day of activities. Attached to the hotel are two restaurants in the lobby level; a T.G.I Fridays, and a Rainforest Cafe. Both feature mainstream American food, as well as a full bar; both which were welcomed after a 10-hour drive!
Squeezed between the two restaurants is an arcade with over 25 games including skee ball, Whack n’ Win, Mario Kart Racing, and more. Now, this isn’t any old and ran-down arcade, this is an entire room with some of the latest video games as well as most of the arcade classics. Truth be told, it might not only be the kids that spend time there!
If shopping is what you’re into, there are plenty of souvenir shops nearby, and the hotel’s attached parking lot will help you get in and out of your car easily when loaded with shopping bags.
Breakfast buffet at T.G.I Fridays will set you back $17.99 for adults and $14.99 for kids. Parking also has an additional cost.
The Family Suite
Our family suite was made up of two different rooms, one with two queen beds attached to a spacious walk-in closet, vanity and bathroom. The primary room featured a sofa, a large chair, a fridge and microwave oven. The full-size bunkbed was large and very comfortable, and even featured two small TVs!
Everyone enjoyed their own bed, which certainly played a part in us having such a fun day at Niagara Falls USA the day after. There’s no better guarantee for a smooth day than everyone getting their beauty sleep! Average rate for the family suite is in the high-$200’s, but can vary depending on the time of year.
The Reef
While our room, the service, and all other amenities were first-class, it was the indoor pool called, ‘The Reef’ that was the gem of the property.
Say goodbye to the ‘ole crummy and boring pool; the Sheraton’s ‘The Reef’ is a brand-new and insanely-cool pool area that features two 15-person hot tubs, a shark tank, a coral reef viewing tank, and of course—a massive pool for everyone to swim in.
We hung out at ‘The Reef’ for over three hours at night, and regret none of it! It was like a cross between a spa and an aquarium experience.
Niagara Falls USA is home to many hotels of all kinds and prices, therefore booking during off-peak times can guarantee you incredibly low rates. Check out the other awesome activities we took part in during our trip, and remember that it’s always an excellent time to visit Niagara Falls USA!
