15 Things Moms Actually Want for Christmas

15 Things Moms ACTUALLY Want for Christmas

So, it’s just about that time of year again when you need to go on the hunt for presents – and because she’s your mom (or wife), you want to make sure you’re getting her something she actually wants and could use, instead of taking a shot in the dark and hoping she’ll like it. That’s why we’re here – we asked moms from all over the world what they could actually use for Christmas, and here are some of our favorites!

1.) Kitchen Toys

Sometimes moms really just want some kitchen toys, and that’s okay! Some suggestions from our polled mothers were the NutriBlender or a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer.

2.) A Maid

Take a load off of your mom or wife by getting her a subscription to a maid – whether you do it weekly, monthly, or daily, you can knock some things off her to-do list so she doesn’t have to worry about it anymore.

3.) Homemade Gifts/Scrapbook

When asked, a lot of mom’s explained that they love getting homemade gifts because they come from the heart. Try making her a card, get a picture with Santa, or make her a scrapbook with your fondest memories. She will treasure it more than you will ever know.

4.) Massage (Extended Period of Time)

Most of the moms we asked just wanted a little time for themselves. You can get them a massage and have it be a one time thing – or take it a step further and get her a massage package that has more than one in it, so she can choose when she wants to go!

5.) Spa Day/Package

Going along with the “mom needs time for herself” theme, every girl could always use a great spa package. If you want to take this one to the next level, gift her with two so that she can bring her friend along with her for a day of girl-time and pampering.

6.) Time with Family

It seems simple and cheesy, and you can’t always wrap it up – but most moms really just want time with their family. Maybe plan a mini-vacation over the weekend and gift her with that – she’ll love that she didn’t have to do all of the planning.

7.) Weekend at Hotel

Well, look at that – more “me time” for mommy! A lot of mom’s explained that it would be nice to be able to sleep in for once. Send her away for a weekend at a hotel and let her catch up on her sleep and all of her favorite TV shows that she may not have time to usually watch!

8.) Candles

It’s the little things that help moms relax, so why not get her a candle in one of her favorite scents as a stocking stuffer or a simple gift this year? A great idea to kick it up a notch is to get her one that has JEWELRY inside! The Vanilla Cupcake Jewelry Candle is a great one at a great price!

9.) Kick-Butt Planner

As moms, we always need to keep our crap together. Get her a planner with plenty of space to organize her day – and maybe a cute pattern or picture on the cover for that extra push. I really like the Reminder Binder because it comes with tons of stickers that have different events and things to do on them – such as “fundraiser” and “school concert”.

10.) Wireless Earbuds/Headphones

Sometimes we moms really just want to rock out without being attached to our phone or iPod – especially when we’re doing things such as chores, wrangling kiddos, and exercising. These ones are super cute!

11.) COFFEE

Here’s a secret – moms LOVE coffee, and they REALLY LOVE coffee from Starbucks, Biggby, or whatever their favorite coffee shop is, but what they REALLY HATE is splurging on it. Get her a gift-card for her favorite coffee place so she can get herself some “energy” guilt-free!

12.) Shopping “Spree”

Speaking of splurging, another things that moms have a hard time doing is spending money on themselves instead of other people. I can’t even tell you the amount of times that my mom has spent gift-cards that we’ve gotten her on somebody else. Get her a gift card to her favorite store, and let her decide what she wants to get without any pressure. Just make sure she goes alone, and set strict guidelines so that she can only pick out things for herself. 🙂

13.) Fill in the Blank Journal

It’s the thought that counts, and filling in this journal about what you love about her will give her something to look back and treasure for years to come! Plus, it will be fun for the kids to fill out, and the young ones have the funniest answers!

14.) Mother & Child Locket

This locket is so simple and beautiful, and it will go with everything she has. Place a picture of her children inside and her heart will melt.

15.) Heated Blanket

Let her get super cozy with a large heated blanket – and if you’re lucky, maybe she’ll let you use it sometime. 🙂

If you’ve noticed a pattern, it’s because there is one. A lot of moms just want some time to relax this Holiday season, and no matter what you get her this year, she will be sure to treasure it. Why? Because she’s an amazing-kick-butt-girl-boss-mama and she loves you!
