Asurion – #PremierSupport To The Rescue

Nov 18 by Leave a Comment

“With the never-ending amount of gadgets in today’s society, it never hurts to have a helping hand when it comes to tech-support. Especially with the Holidays around the corner…”

Everything revolves our tiny, and not-so tiny device screens nowadays. For someone like me that primarily works from home and solely on the computer and smartphone, I rely on all my devices to perform the best I can.

During a normal day I check hundreds of emails on my computer and smartphone. I use my computer to print wirelessly around the house, I use my smartphone as TV remote, and I can even change the temperature on my home’s thermostat from a web-portal on my computer or app on my phone. In case you don’t see the trend, I can do nearly everything from my devices, except for picking up the kids from school or making dinner… darn it!

What happens when you get the dreaded ERROR pop-up box on your computer or smartphone? You know, that dreadful and mysterious error code that you have no clue what it means… What do you do? Do you Google it and hope someone else has come across the same problem? Do you call your spouse? Well… what If you could simply reach an expert that has all the answers within reach, or even better, can fix the problem for you.

That was the case when I recently upgraded my smartphone and I found myself having to re-do all my settings, input all my passwords, and guess a lot of my usernames —such a pain! Thankfully, the guys at Asurion Premier Support made my experience pretty smooth and even took over for me and fixed my problem. But, what exactly was my problem? Well…

I had forgotten my iTunes password and I couldn’t re-download the apps I had on my previous phone, and it was driving me nuts, what good is a smartphone without apps?

Asurion isn’t only the nation’s leading provider of connected device series (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.), but they are also the leading insurance provider for all the major carriers, such as at&t, Verizon, Sprint, etc. But by far my favorite part is that as an actually customer of Asurion, the cost for device protection (insurance) and Premier Support is rolled into my bill as a single and inexpensive monthly charge. Unlike other companies which you have to pay per incident or per call, etc. Nothing like having a bad day with technical issues, only be up-sold when you call for help!

I tried using the at&t Premier Support app on my smartphone, but to be honest it didn’t work all that well, it showed me the vitals of my phone but it didn’t give me a link to their call center. Oh well, I hopped on their website and quickly found a phone number and called it. I went through a couple automated messages that were easy to understand, and within a few minutes I was through to a live agent.

The Asurion Premier Support agent was very kind and quickly identified my problem. He even offered to remotely log-in to my phone and fix the problem (with permission), but I insisted on doing it myself so I could learn. In no-time he had me go through the right steps and to the appropriate sites to reset my password, and he even helped me create a safe file so I could store some of my sensitive info like usernames and passwords.

That was it! In a short amount of time I went from having a useless smartphone to being back on track. High five, Asurion Premier Support!

With the holidays coming up, many of us will be giving or receiving the latest gadgets, and most likely need some help setting up all of our stuff in them. So don’t hesitate to give Asurion Premier Support a call! Oh, and don’t forget to insure your electronics, they’re expensive —you know?

For more help with software, hardware, smartphones, computers, or if you just need help downloading Angry Birds, head the Asurion website, or simply call your cell phone carrier customer service for assistance.
