Cheap & Easy Door Decor
I love visiting some of my favorite craft stores and seeing all of the beautiful decor they have for sale. And then I take a take a look at the price tag and go into complete sticker shock mode. I mean, seriously. Who pays $80+ for a beautiful wreath. I love my neighbors and all, but I am not spending that kind of money. Now if I had some fancy-schmacy baller house I might consider it though I highly doubt it. I am pretty sure I would still craft my heart out.
Anyway, here is a super simple way to make your door POP while adding a touch of personalization. This country chic, cheap & easy door decor literally cost me $4 and some change. We will go with $5 for good measure. I purchased all of the supplies at the Dollar Store down the street and couldn’t be happier with the way this turned out.
Materials used:
- Wreath frame
- Letter of choice
- Flowers
- Twine or ribbon
- Hot glue
- Paint
I literally found all of these items in the same isle. It was a complete no-brainer for me.
Hot glue your flowers of choice partly around one side of your wreath. I wanted them to be somewhat messy. Sorta like my life.. And my house. And my hair.
On the back of your wreath place a small dot of hot glue for your starting point of twine, and continue to wrap around your wreath. I just wrapped the bottom part of mine. Again, this is your project so make it your own.
I used a deep red acrylic paint on the wooden letter so that it would really stand out against the purple flowers and black door.
Tie your letter on using the remaining twine and you have your self a completed project. The paint drying was the longest part of this easy door decor project. No matter your crafting level, I am more than confident you can pull this one off.
