How to Create a Coca-Cola can Speaker! #ShareMemories

Music; one of the best gifts known to man. What would the world be without music? It’s hard to tell, but in all honesty—I don’t want to find out. Music makes the world go around, or in the words of a famous song artist – “A girl’s favorite song will tell you more about how she feels than her lips ever will.”

Although summer hasn’t fully settled in the midwest, the occasional warm and sunny days give way to outdoor fun and family cookouts at the many gorgeous parks we have in Indiana. Clear skies, delicious food and of course; Coca-Cola™, but there’s one key ingredient that turns a normal gathering into a real party—music. Even better, music inspired by Coca-Cola!

#ShareMemories

While shopping at our local (and stunning) Giant Eagle store, I noticed the cute and fun Coca-Cola mini cans with the #ShareaCoke song lyrics printed on the cans, and being the music-nerd that I am, I had to have them! But besides drinking the refreshing mini cans of Coca-Cola, I thought about doing something even cooler to truly #ShareMemories and music with my family.

Did you know there’s a cool, easy, and environmentally friendly to blast your favorite music, and it simply involves a can of Coca-Cola? You can turn your mini can (or any can for that matter) into a portable smartphone speaker!

Follow these steps to create your very own Coca-Cola #ShareMemories speaker can!

#ShareMemories

Materials:

  • Coca-Cola can
  • Knife or box cutter
  • Scotch tape
  • Clothesline clips
  • Can opener

Instructions:

Step 1: Use the can opener to cut off the top of the can. This is where the sound will exit once you’re finished. Once the top is removed, make sure to rinse and clean the can to avoid attracting bugs.

Step 2: Use the box cutter to cut a slit into the side of the Coca-Cola can. Make sure to keep in mind your smartphone’s length, as the cut will need to be deep enough to keep your phone upright. Don’t fully cut off the aluminum, as it will work as a flap to hold the back of your phone.

Step 3: Once the slit is cut, you must tape the clothesline clips to the side of the can in order to stabilize it and keep it from rolling sideways.

#ShareMemories

Step 4: Inspired by the lyrics on your Coca-Cola can, choose your favorite song and set your phone into the cut-out. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy the amplified sound the Coca-Cola can creates.

#ShareMemories

Now you can truly #ShareMemories with your friends and family to beat of your favorite Coca-Cola Share a Song lyrics, and don’t forget to download the Shazam app on your devices to get your Coca-Cola Share a Song!

A large and rugged country requires a large and rugged vehicle.
