DIY Everything with Coconut Oil

If you are unfamiliar with coconut oil you have been missing out. I seriously use it for everything. There are so many benefits from using it and the possibilities are truly endless. I put together a list of the ways coconut oil can be used in cooking, around the house and for your health.

  • Use on your skin as a basic lotion
  • Great for cooking stir-frys
  • Use as a dairy free replacement to butter
  • Take in warm tea to sooth heartburn or nausea
  • Ingesting coconut oil daily can help with allergy symptoms
  • Use internally and externally to speed recovery from UTIs
  • Apply to hands after doing dishes to avoid dry skin
  • By itself or with baking soda as a naturally whitening toothpaste
  • Improves sleep when taken daily
  • Place in kids ears to help speed ear infection healing
  • Help reduce appearance of varicose veins
  • Reduce the itch of mosquito bites
  • Use it as an anti-aging facial moisturizer
  • In any recipes where vegetable oils are used
  • Apply directly to an age spot to help it fade
  • Use three times a day to affected area of hair loss
  • For a bruise, enhances the healing process by reducing swelling and redness
  • Helps eliminate cradle cap
  • Very comforting on a rashy bum with no harsh chemicals
  • Use a cotton swab and a dab of coconut oil to remove your makeup
  • Season cast iron pans with only a small amount
  • Polish patent leather for a perfect shine
  • Clean shower scum completely
  • Remove stuck on chewing gum
  • Polish wood furniture and bring back it’s natural glow
  • Remove sticky residue from labels
  • Use it in place of WD-40
  • Polish the interior of your car

    I use coconut oil to remove my make-up. Works really well as eye make-up remover. I do not even wash my face with soap unless I am in the shower, instead I just use coconut oil. Works for my skin!
