DrivesWGirls is growing!

It wasn’t too long ago that Missi decided to add onto her site and create an outlet to share our passion for cars and racing. Our goal was to provide our readers with useful information regarding the automotive and motorsports scene.

Since then, we have shared with you about Easter Egg Hunts at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, reasons why kids would love an Indycar race, how to plan for a kid-fiendly, cross-country road trip, and even how to have a little family fun in some pretty racy sports cars. Since October of last year when DrivesWGirls was born (named PitStop then), our inboxes have been filled with event invites, offers for guest-posts, sponsorship opportunities, and my favorite —press cars.

Although all of those are really really good things, they all take serious amounts of time, effort and sometimes even financial investment. Missi started Life is Poppin’ as a tool to effectively communicate useful information with families across the world, about whatever it was that families wanted to hear. The site grew bigger and better, and eventually became a platform for me to share about my passion for anything with an internal combustion engine, to which Missi kindly allowed me to do so. As time went by I realized that at some point we would grow and form a team with different perspectives, strengths, and maybe even opinions about car culture.

Thankfully I didn’t have to look very far to find someone with the passion, knowledge and opinion to discuss anything on wheels. That’s where Kari comes in. Back in 2007 I became a sales person at an Acura dealership with the hopes that being around cars and car people would satiate my thirst for, well —cars. It turns out car dealerships aren’t really about car people. But that’s where I met Kari, and started off a proper automotive friendship.

On behalf of everyone at LIP Media LLC, which is all of two people. We are very happy to welcome Kari as write and contributor to DrivesWGirls and look forward to developing, and enjoying some cool content together!

Check out her bio/introduction below.

“The sound of rumbling engines and the smell of burning tires are two of my favorite things. Scooting my Hot Wheels around a car mat and watching Zanardi dominate the Indycar circuit were two things I enjoyed much more than brushing a Barbie’s hair. Today, my love for cars is much more expensive but also more fun than when I was a child, as I’ve owned everything from a Tacoma to a Benz. I now have a 2014 Scion FR-S to play with, which you may spot at The Circuit of Americas parking lot while I’m yelling at the top of my lungs.

When not tinkering on my car, I’m endlessly rambling about auto-news to my very patient husband who tolerates it for hours on end, or going on Hill Country cruises with my rambunctious mutt, Margo. I met Jerry working at car dealership of all places, where we would often get in trouble for talking about cars more than actually working. I am excited to jump onboard so I will have a new place to express my thoughts and hopefully give my husband’s ears a break.”

Celebrating the New Year in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

We drive the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 to the Great White North, where we say goodbye to a rather tumultuous 2020. 2020 has been a year for most of us, huh? So happy to get rid of it and here’s to hoping 2021 is better in every way! Of course, we say this with the […]

Great Smoky Mountains National Park: Family Road Trip In the 2021 Chevy Tahoe

A large and rugged country requires a large and rugged vehicle. With COVID-19 shutting down most things around us or at least applying rigorous restrictions to help slow the spread of the virus, a lot of activities we would normally do with our family are off the table. Luckily, we’ve always loved family road trips, […]
