Easy Brown Gravy Recipe
Making your own gravy brown gravy is just as quick as packaged, but so much better for you! After you taste your own gravy you might not go back. Here is a recipe to add a little but of flavor to your already yummy potatoes or rice. Great with any beef dish as well. Let me know what you think!
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3 teaspoons beef bouillon
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
Combine water, bouillon, flour, onion and butter in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until thickened. That’s it! Told you it was easy! What is your favorite way to make gravy?

I’ll have to try it this way. In the past I’ve always made a roux first with the butter and flour and browned it before adding beef broth. But this looks much less time consuming.

Loved it! I only had bouillon cubes so I guessed and used 2, also used the onion powder instead of chopped onion out of convenience. Turned out AMAZING!!!
