Easy Coffee Mug Sweater
I am an avid tea drinker. I wake up, head downstairs and grab myself a large cup of black tea before tackling my day. Since I don’t really care for plastic cups, I have a lot of the heavier ceramic cups but they can be too hot to hold at times. That’s why I decided to make these easy coffee mug sweaters.
They are cheap, easy and work perfectly! Plus, they make a really cute gift idea for the coffee or tea lover in your life. The possibilities are endless with this DIY idea.
Materials needed:
- 1 piece of felt
- felt glue
- buttons
- velcro dots
- scissors
- your favorite coffee cup
First, you will want to cut your felt into a strip to the width you desire for your cup. I like mine to be right around 3-4 inches. You can always measure if you are unsure.
Cut a design on the bottom of the felt. You can do half circles or triangles, use your imagination. Or, you can leave it as is. It’s completely up to you!
When you are happy with your cut, fit it around your coffee cup and be sure to find out how and where it lays. Cut off any excess felt as needed. Then place two Velcro dots on the one side of the felt. Then on the opposite side of the other side of the felt, place the other velcro dots. Make sure they can match and connect.
Now add two dots of your felt glue to the opposite side of the felt. You could also use velcro is you wanted. Press firmly and let dry for at least an hour or depending on what your glue bottle says.
Once your felt is completely dry, glue on your button. Make it fun and get creative.
Once it’s dried. Place it on your coffee cup and enjoy.

Giving a gift should always come from the heart. Making these super easy personalized tile photo coasters is an awesome way to give someone a gift of full of love and a unique way to display their favorite memories. Once you are done making a set for someone else, I promise you will want a set of your own.
This set of personalized tile photo coasters is not only easy to make, but the whole set costs less than $5.00 to make! I chose to use pictures of my Mom, since her birthday is coming up. You could make these with your favorite quotes, pictures, comic books or magazine clippings. The possibilities are truly endless.
So I must admit, I am seriously in love with these Fairy in a Jar Night-Lights. They look so stunning and quite magical with a dimly lit orange and yellow light. Your kids will love displaying these beautiful jars in their rooms and they will comfort them at night. One of my favorite things about these Fairy in a Jar Night-Lights is they give my girls something to do during the day when they are “bored” and then they can enjoy them at night.
Like almost all of my DIY projects, I got all of my supplies at the dollar store. If you don’t have a local dollar store, you can purchase these items on Amazon with the links below.
Kids and adults will love these magical fairy jars! Make some for yourself and give a few as gifts. I promise they will be a huge hit!
