I am so in love with this Alfredo recipe. It’s a quick meal idea when you are in a hurry. Can be made with or without chicken. Either way, it’s yummy!
1 (8 -12 ounce) package pasta (I use whatever I have on hand)
2 -3 cups broccoli, chopped
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/3 cups milk
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
salt and pepper
Cook pasta according to package directions and drain well. Meanwhile, steam broccoli until tender, but still crisp, about 5 minutes or so, and drain. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour until smooth.
Gradually whisk in milk. Bring to a boil, and cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and stir in the cheese and broccoli. Toss with the pasta to coat or poor on top like I like to do. It’s easy peasy and so delicious. You will love it!
