Easy Peanut Butter Bird Feeder

Keeping kids busy during the long winter months can be a little tricky. When we are cooped up inside for too long, things can become a bit chaotic to say the least. We get restless, bored and just overwhelmed with cabin fever. Coming up with different activities to keep kids busy can be a challenge.

This easy peanut butter bird feeder is an inexpensive way to make some memories with your kids while enticing a few beautiful birds to come for a visit. Plus, you’re making some pretty great memories with some pretty great people.

Be sure not to throw those toilet paper rolls away! You could even cut paper towel rolls in half, cover them in peanut butter, roll them in bird seed and hang. Everyone in the family will enjoy looking out of the window to watch the birds eat. Heck, you could even turn it into a learning experience. GASP! The horror….

Here are a few other ways to keep the kids busy indoors:

Fairy Jar DIY

So I must admit, I am seriously in love with these Fairy in a Jar Night-Lights. They look so stunning and quite magical with a dimly lit orange and yellow light. Your kids will love displaying these beautiful jars in their rooms and they will comfort them at night. One of my favorite things about these Fairy in a Jar Night-Lights is they give my girls something to do during the day when they are “bored” and then they can enjoy them at night.

Build a snowman Kit

Do you wanna build a snowman? In my best Frozen singing voice… Which isn’t very good so I will spare you, but your littles will love making these Snowman Kits. I don’t know about your kids, but mine love to be in the kitchen. I am always looking for simple recipes that they can help with. This Snowman Kit is easy to make, cute to look at and delicious to eat!
