Breakfast is the first meal of a day, most often eaten in the early morning before undertaking the day’s work. Make it great! Ditch the cold cereal (though my favorite food to eat any time of the day) and throw the pop tarts in the trash. This recipe is so easy to make that you might not ever go back to a boring breakfast again!
Ingredients:
- 6 Sandwich Bread Slices
- 1 Egg
- 1 ½ Cups milk
- ¼ Cup sugar
- 1 Tsp cinnamon
For the streusel:
- ¼ Cup flour
- ⅛ Cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour your favorite cupcake pan so that the muffins don’t stick.
In a bowl, mix the streusel ingredients until it resembles coarse sand.
In another bowl mix the egg, milk, sugar and cinnamon throughly. Set aside.
Cut the bread into medium sized cubes. Mix the bread the egg mixture until the bread is completely coated.
Place right around ¼ cup of french toast mix into each hole of the cupcake pan.
Top with some streusel and place in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes or until done.
Serve and enjoy!
