Give Teachers the Gift of Wellness
The holiday season has snuck up on us yet once again. It’s always nice to give your kids’ teachers a gift to show them how appreciated they truly really are. Chances are, you want it to be something meaningful, useful, and cost effective. They most likely don’t need another scented candle or a “world’s best teacher ornament”. Instead, why don’t we give them the gift of wellbeing?
It’s no secret that our kids’ teachers are exposed to all kinds of germs. So this year, in honor of all snot covered teachers everywhere, I put together the gift of wellness. Since I am an avid tea drinker so I knew I wanted my gift to be centered around tea. I drink a cup of black tea to get my day started and then several cups of green tea throughout the day. There are so many benefits in drinking tea.
Because I do drink so much tea, I am picky about the brands that I buy. Bigelow Tea is by far one of my favorites. They have such a wide variety of black, delicate green, full-bodied decaf and caffeine-free herb teas, there really is something for everyone. Walmart has a huge selection located in the coffee isle, for a really great price, making a tea wellness basket the perfect teacher gift idea.
There are several (frugal) ways to put together a wellness basket for your favorite teacher. Get creative and make it your own. Here’s what I used for mine:
- Bigelow Tea
- A basket from the dollar store
- Tissue paper
- Tea pot
- Honey
- Tissues
- Lip balm
Lay the tissue flat inside the basket and begin adding your items one by one to make a cute arrangement. Add a personalized note or card and there you have it. Not only is it a frugal gift idea, but it’s easy to put together in a hurry.
I also found this $0.75 off any box of Bigelow Tea coupon that should come in handy this time of year. And while you’re at it, make a basket for yourself! Fill it with tons of Bigelow Tea and don’t let cold and flu season catch you off guard.
If I drink Bigelow, I tea proudly! Choosing Bigelow is savvy, smart, in the know. And that by choosing Bigelow, you “TEA PROUDLY.” Head over to visit the Tea Proudly Website to take a peak for yourself. You will be glad you did!
If you’re into it, be sure to check Bigelow Tea out on Facebook and Twitter!
I think this is a nice easy list. Kids need to learn to give and be helpful. Just the benefit of seeing joy on the recipients face and knowing they made someone else’s day happy should be looked at as a reward.
This is the kind of gift I would have loved when I was teaching kindergarten. Bigalow tea is my favorite, too. Something else to add to the basket is a product such Qore 24. It is an antimicrobial hand purifier spray that forms a 24 hour barrier. I carry it in my purse. I need more tea!
