Grinch Sugar Cookie Recipe
The holidays are upon us! Time to shake things up a bit. How about making some Grinch cookies. They are super easy and super cute. What more do you want? This is the perfect way to put some excitement into regular sugar cookies.
Ingredients:
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Red food coloring
Green food coloring
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Separate into 2 equal parts. Mix in about 10 drops of each color. Mix well until fully colored. Grab about a tablespoon of each color and roll together creating a tie-die effect. Do this until all dough is gone. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool. If you are feeling super festive add some chocolate mints to the top!
