If you’re thinking that I am talking gourmet or something that will take hours of prep, you are far from right. This Ham and Cheddar Melt is as quick as a Witch waving it’s wand to create magic out of sand! So here is how you will get Sand-WITCHED:
Ingredients:
- 1 Bread roll
- ½ Cup chopped lettuce
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise (and some more)
- 2 Slices smoked ham
- 1 Slice cheddar cheese
- Butter
Directions:
Split the bread roll in half running a sharp knife through the center.
Slather the lower bread generously with mayonnaise.
Place a layer of lettuce, followed by smoked ham and cheddar cheese.
Top with the upper half of the bread and close your sandwich.
Heat butter in a skillet and cook the sandwich on each side for 3 minutes or until golden.
Serve hot and enjoy it with a re-run of your favorite F.R.I.E.N.D.S. episode!
Tips:
- You can also use Smoked Gouda.
- If you a golden brown, yet crispy crust, substitute the butter for mayonnaise. Try it, even though you might think of this as crazy!
