“For parents that got to experience the first generation of baby monitors, an entire wold of freedom opened up for them thanks to that little portable speaker. Just imagine how much more you could accomplish if you could hear and see your kiddos!”

Both Missi and I have the ability of working from home, and while it may sound like peace and joy, having a curious 3 year old around the house at all times can be very interesting and even hectic at times. I personally spend most of my time in our home office working on the computer and away from the busy area of the house, but both Missi and I know that if there is even more than two continuous minutes of silence, it can only mean that our little one is up to no good.
Knowing whether our daughter is simply busy playing with her toys, or being up to no good with Missi’s makeup can be difficult, so we always wished there was a way to keep an eye on the kids and give them their freedom while also making sure they are safe. One of the things about my job that can get tiring real quick, is having to pause my thoughts to leave my computer to go and make sure everything is okay, it never fails that I get back to my task and I’ve completely forgotten what I was doing.
Levana has figured it out. Levana has created a monitor system that does so much more than just feed sound through a speaker or a grainy image through a monitor. The Levana Keera (dark) features two wireless cameras, a 3.5-inch tablet style LCD handheld screen controller, and this following awesome features:
Whisper Quiet Pan, tilt and zoom: Move the camera 300 degrees horizontally, 110 degrees vertically and 2x zoom magnification, as quiet as a whisper.
Record videos and snap photos: If I happen to catch Missi having a super cute moment with our kids, all I have to do is hit record on the handheld controller and snap a photo or save a video on the included 2gb SD card. On the other hand, this came in extra handy while catching the kids draw on the wall. No more guessing who did it!
Ten hour battery life: The 3.5-inch handheld screen controller has a rechargeable battery, so no more buying tons of alkaline batteries year round. And the best news is that when fully charged it will last you up to eight hours!
I went ahead and set up my Levana Keera screen on my desk, that way I can keep an eye on the downstairs and toy room area while I’m working, and all I have to do is keep an eye on the screen and If I need to I can press the microphone button to talk to my kids. Another thing that I didn’t expect was for the reaction time to be so quick, there is no lag when directing the cameras or swapping back and forth between the two. They are definitely much faster than others I’ve seen before.
My kids are a little older for this feature, but the Levana system also features night vision to keep an eye out on newborns, and you can even remotely play up to three different lullabies to ensure a good night sleep. How this didn’t exist when my kids were babies?
It’s also important to know that all of this audio and video is being transmitted through a private ClearVu frequency that is expandable up to four cameras, and most importantly, no one but you can access that signal.
All in all the Levana Keera makes an excellent baby, toddler and even home security monitor. So if you want to do more knowing your kids are safe, I’d grab one of these asap!
