Make Your Own Dusting Spray
Making your own dusting spray is not only cheap and easy but it’s great for your home & family. Most cleaning products are filled with harmful chemicals that ruin your stuff. YUCK! Who wants that? Making your own supplies is such a great idea! My favorite items to keep around the house is Vinegar, Lemons, Tea Tree Oil, and Coconut Oil. You can do 1001+ things with these simple ingredients. Here is a version of my favorite dusting spray using things found around the house!
- 1/4 cup vinegar to cut through grease and grime! Plus it acts as a disinfectant
- 2 tsp olive oil to shine and protect wood
- 10-15 drops of essential oil (your choice) helps your home smell naturally fresh and clean
- 1 cup water
- Spray bottle – glass
Combined and mix well. Viola! You have your very own dusting spray!
Be sure to shake well each time you use it. I have tried this dusting spray on just about every surface in my house and it has never left a film or damaged anything. It’s great!!

Thank you for this. I love making my own household cleaners. I think this is one I didn’t have. Going to pin this.

I’ve heard essential oils will eat at plastic containers. Have you had any issues with this in your dusting spray?

You’re right! It can… depends on the oil, but to stay on the safe side I always use glass. Thanks for the reminder!
