Who is ready to bring the snow indoors? Maybe it’s far too cold to go outside or if it just doesn’t snow at your house we have found a solution. Make your own snow! Yep, you can do that. Plus it’s a great sensory DIY for kids. Josephine absolutely loved doing this! And we actually made a tiny snowman. Too cute! Making your own snow is super easy to do and only takes 2 ingredients you probably already have. Ready for it? Shaving cream and baking soda.
We used 1/2 off a box of baking soda and around 1/2 of a can of shaving cream. Place the baking soda in a large bowl and slowly add in the shaving cream to achieve desired texture. Mix well. The magic snow texture should be light and fluffy.
The awesome part about this recipe is it’s cold all on it’s own. Perfect for the whole winter effect we were going for. Just like real snow you can even mold it any way you like. The kids got a little crazy and decided to have a snow ball fight. I won’t show you the aftermath of my carpet, but the good news is it vacuumed up with no problem.
Here is a picture of the awesome snowman we made. Too bad they don’t make snowman accessories this small… or do they? Anyway, we hope you enjoy making your own snow. Let us know how it goes!
