This Mexican Coffee Recipe (Café de Olla) is a great way to spice up your Joe by adding some kick to your cup with a just touch of sweetness.
If you love coffee, you’re going to adore this Mexican Coffee Recipe – made with Nescafè Clàsico, cinnamon, cocoa powder and a few other yummy ingredients. It’s no secret people go crazy for coffee. I mean, have you ever stood in a long line at an expensive coffee house to pay for an overpriced cup of caffeine? I know I have. And more than once.
I wanted to share this Mexican Coffee Recipe with you because it’s a great way for you to still get that gourmet cup of java you crave, without the crazy price tag. Plus, you can enjoy it will still in your onesie pajamas. Or is that just me?
My favorite way to enjoy this delicious Mexican Coffee Recipe is with a soft concha and a scoop of Mexican vanilla bean ice cream. It’s the best combination! Plus, you can grab everything you need from Walmart while getting the rest of your groceries.
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar or powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- pinch of cayenne powder
- Nescafè Clasico
- Mexican vanilla bean ice cream (optional)
Add your desired amount of Nescafè Clàsico to your cup.
Add the remaining ingredients to your cup, creating a beautiful blend of colors.
The smells alone are intoxicating!
Pour boiling water over the ingredients and stir well.
Toss in a scoop of ice cream, grab a concha for dipping and enjoy!
A dollop of whipped cream would be amazing as well. Don’t worry, I won’t tell if you won’t.
