This is the perfect Mint Margarita Recipe to add a little bit of spice to taco night!
- 10 tablespoons of packed, fresh mint leaves
- 4 tablespoons of fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons of organic blue agave
- 6 tablespoons of tequila
- 2 tablespoons of orange flavored liqueur
- Kosher salt, optional
- Mint and lime slices for garnish
Start by placing 8 tablespoons of the whole mint leaves into the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Next add the lime juice and blue agave. Using a muddler, twist and press down repeatedly until the smell of the mint comes through. Add the tequila, orange liqueur and approximately 1 cup of ice. Shake well until the liquid is very cold.
Create a margarita by pouring kosher salt on a plate and rubbing the rim of the glass with lime juice. Dip the glass into the salt.
Roll the remaining mint and then slicing them very thinly. Add ice to the glass, strain the margarita and then add the sliced mint into the drink. Add a sprig of mint and slice of lime.
