Pfister Hotel: So Much More Than a Place to Rest

The-Pfister-Hotel-Review

The Pfister Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee and is surrounded by many restaurants and popular attractions, which is handy when traveling with kids.

For 125 years, The Pfister Hotel has stood as an icon of prestige, history and timeless excellence in Milwaukee. Pfister associates strive to ensure that when their guests arrive, they come to a warm and friendly place that is much more than a hotel – it’s an experience. In my opinion, they nailed it!

As Milwaukee’s renowned luxury hotel, The Pfister has brought history, a celebration of art and a philosophy of exceptional hospitality to locals and visitors alike.

Mornings are typically a little hectic in our family, so we were thankful for a delicious hot breakfast that’s available in the exclusive Pfister Club Lounge located on the 23rd floor complete with expansive views of the city.  With an atmosphere similar to a home library, the Club includes a fireplace, bookshelves, comfortable seating and workstations. Additionally, the lounge also features complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access, printers, and televisions.

The Accommodations

Built in 1893, the Pfister Hotel has been a Milwaukee hotel icon for over a century. Our family suite was made up of a beautiful seating area and a separate room with a double room featuring two queen beds, a spacious closet, vanity and full bathroom with a spacious shower. Lucky for us, there was a large work desk and office chair, a mini fridge and a wet bar area. Plus, there was a cute vintage sleeper sofa so there wasn’t any bickering over where the kids were going to sleep.

Our room was located in the historic section of the hotel, which maintains the elegance and luxury of when it was first built in 1893. The kids were totally digging the history of this beautiful hotel.

The Amenities

Since we were guests of The Pfister Hotel, we were able to enjoy the finest amenities that the city has to offer both within the Milwaukee hotel and community. While The Pfister WELL Spa® + Salon sounded amazing to me, the kids had other ideas in mind. They couldn’t think about anything else after seeing the indoor pool located on the 23rd floor. I mean, just look at these awe-inspiring panoramic views of downtown and Lake Michigan. Who can blame them?

The Pfister is also nestled between art centers, popular theaters, and Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward. The location and amenities are truly unrivaled by any other Milwaukee hotel. The kids had a good time playing i-spy trying to find the places they wanted to visit while in the pool area.

For those seeking libations, enjoy your drink on top of the city in Blu Bar and Lounge which is also on the 23rd floor, specializing in martinis and wine flights. Other dining options include Mason Street Grill, The Café at the Pfister, The Rouge and The Lobby Lounge.

Milwaukee has many hotels to choose from, but if you’re looking for amazing rooms, central location, and the right amenities, you can’t beat The Pfister Hotel.

A large and rugged country requires a large and rugged vehicle.
