We were provided overnight accommodations by ‘Visit Fort Wayne’ to facilitate this story. All opinions, photos, and all kinds of other shenanigans are our own.”
A Quinceañera fit for a princess in the beautiful city of Fort Wayne, Indiana. These words probably won’t do our weekend justice but I promise to try my best.
I remember the day Nevaeh was born. After a long four days of agonizing labor, she decided it was finally time to make her big debut. I remember staring into her beautiful blue eyes and thinking, ‘now what?’. Well, I am still thinking the very same thing though she just turned fifteen…
If you haven’t heard of Fort Wayne, we’re about to change that. It’s a city located two hours north of Indianapolis, and I promise you it’s family-friendly and Quince ready. Nevaeh decided she wanted to ditch the traditional Quinceañera route and do something a little different to celebrate her 15th Birthday. She opted for a girls’ weekend and when asked where she wanted to go she immediately shouted “Fort Wayne, Indiana”.
With a car full of cake, ladies with matching t-shirts and poppin’ music, we headed north towards the Hilton at the Grand Wayne Center.
Located in the heart of downtown, the Hilton is surrounded by many restaurants and popular attractions, which come in handy when traveling with teens. Our suite was made up of two connecting rooms – the double room featured a sitting area with a sofa ( pull-out bed), a spacious dining table with a bar area and the main suite featured a king bed, a couple of sitting chairs, a large work desk and office chair, a fridge, and a microwave oven. This was the perfect space to host a Quince fit for a princess. And the perfect place to rest up for our tour of Fort Wayne.

{DeBrand Fine Chocolates}
DeBrand creates world-class, artisan chocolates with the highest quality, fresh ingredients, found locally and from around the world. Outstanding chocolates, beautiful presentation, and excellent customer service have been our foundation for over thirty years. We kicked off the first part of our Fort Wayne Quince tour by doing a short tour of this wonderful chocolate factory.
Arriving for our tour, we enjoyed a short video on the history of DeBrand and view their chocolate making kitchens where you’ll see the artisan process involved in making their coveted chocolates along with tasting several gourmet chocolate samples. And trust me, you won’t be disappointed in any of them. I mean, just look at this spread!

Room to Escape rooms in Fort Wayne are designed for many room escape enthusiasts. Perfect for first-time guests or for the hardened escape artist veteran. We tried our escape skills in the Nightmare at the Museum room and let’s just say, we won’t be quitting our jobs anytime soon to become detectives.
“You and a group of friends are spending the day together at your favorite local museum. You’re horrified when your group catches a glimpse of ski-masked robbers gathering people up! You remember the back storage room earlier in the tour and decide that’s the best chance to evade the situation. The clues in the storage room will lead you out to safety, so hurry if you can.”
