Savoring Soccer Sundays & Tradewinds Tea
If your family is anything like mine, then you’re constantly on the go, picking up, dropping off, running errands, traveling, working, and of course—going to your kids’ sporting events.
For us, it’s soccer. My oldest daughter has been playing soccer for nearly four years now, which means that whether it’s spring or fall, we’re at a soccer field almost every Saturday or Sunday. If you often do the same with soccer or any other sport, then you know that these games can sometimes get complicated, and if you don’t plan ahead, they can get downright pricey.
When there’s a soccer game all of us pack the vitals to make sure that our time on the sidelines is enjoyable. That means packing our chairs, umbrellas, and even some drinks and snacks. After all, you can either plan ahead and save some bucks, or you can wait until the last minute and buy stuff at the concession stand for twice the price.
We often pack simple things that allow us to pass the time more comfortably regardless of the weather. Early fall soccer season brings pretty hot temperatures, while toward the end of the same season you definitely need a warm jacket. A gallon-sized jug of Tradewinds Tea always comes along with us, and whether it’s ice cold or room temperature, it always gives us that refreshing taste we look for.
We pick up our favorite kind (unsweet or peach) of Tradewinds Tea at our local Meijer supermarket, and you can buy it here. You can find it in sweet, green tea with honey, raspberry, and of course, half & half! To switch things up a bit depending on the season, we add a slice of lemon or lime to our Tradewinds tea when we drink it at room temperature. When it’s the middle of summer we simply add ice, as Tradewinds tea is ready to drink out of the jug.
I don’t know about you, but savoring a good game of soccer and a cold drink of Tradewinds Tea sounds like a pretty sweet day to me!
