With this crazy winter weather that has been slamming us I have been trying to come up with ways to make the best of it. We have gotten hit really hard with a ton of snow this year. What better to do with it other than EAT IT? Not only is it FREE but it tastes yummy as well. Plus, how cool is it to tell your kids you are making SNOW ICE CREAM. You can even make snow cones. Here’s our favorite snow ice cream recipe:
Ingredients
1 cup half and half or milk
1/3 to 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to your taste)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 to 6 cups clean, freshly fallen snow
Directions
In a large bowl combine half and half, vanilla extract and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved, about 3 minutes or so. Stir in the snow, a cup at a time, until the ice cream magically forms! Freeze for several minutes before serving. Dig in!!
