Weird Things in a Mom’s Purse

When you’re a mom, you’re kind of a superhero. Hungry? Mom has the perfect snack on hand. Bleeding? On it with a bandage. We have no idea what the day will bring exactly, so I like to be prepared. My purses are usually way too big and should probably be illegal, but hey, I sure am prepared for just about anything. Here’s a few examples of weird things that can be found in a Mom’s purse:

  • Sunglasses (for the entire family)
  • Baby wipes
  • Hand sanitizer – or as Josephine calls it “hanitizer”
  • Gum wrappers
  • A googly eye that fell off from a school project
  • My iPhone
  • 3D mascara
  • Some pens – a few with all of their pieces and some without
  • Fruit snacks
  • Travel size sunblock
  • Lip balm
  • Wallet – I hope anyway
  • Crayons
  • Ponytail holders
  • Boogie Wipes
  • A notebook
  • Granola bars
  • Crumbs from the other granola bars
  • Earphones
  • Phone charger
  • Mitch-match socks
  • Notebook
  • A few Shopkins
  • Small first aid kit
  • Expired coupons

If you’re a Mom than I am sure you have most of these in your bags as well. I always seem to find the most random things in my purse and most tend to be items I am “holding” for my kids. Once I found a fossilized french fry at the very bottom of the pile. It’s like a complete grab bag of total randomness. Thankfully my kids are a little older now and I know longer have to carry diapers, bottles or any of that other stuff, but that doesn’t mean it gets any lighter.

If there’s one thing that I a guilty of it would be a little thing I like to call “purse hoarding”. Go ahead and judge. Just remember we all have things that make us weird and this just happened to be one of mine. It could always be worse, right?

So on to the obvious. I would love to know what’s in your purse!

Celebrating the New Year in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

We drive the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 to the Great White North, where we say goodbye to a rather tumultuous 2020. 2020 has been a year for most of us, huh? So happy to get rid of it and here’s to hoping 2021 is better in every way! Of course, we say this with the […]

Great Smoky Mountains National Park: Family Road Trip In the 2021 Chevy Tahoe

A large and rugged country requires a large and rugged vehicle. With COVID-19 shutting down most things around us or at least applying rigorous restrictions to help slow the spread of the virus, a lot of activities we would normally do with our family are off the table. Luckily, we’ve always loved family road trips, […]

Explore Chicago: The Four Seasons With Kids

We head to the Windy City in the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Once upon a time, we could get away as a couple whenever we wanted wherever we wanted. Early mornings, late nights, breakfast in bed, shows, clubs, parties—you name it, we enjoyed it. But for a while now, we’ve had to play by a […]

2020 Hyundai Sonata: A Tech-Packed, Versatile Sedan

Yes, it can drive forward and backward without a driver, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg of this stylish sedan. Sedans are dying a slow death. No, it’s not just me being negative, but a factual representation of the automotive industry, which in turn, is a direct reflection of customer’s buying habits. People […]
