Strawberry Shortcake Cake Pops

Strawberry Shortcake Cake Pops

We all know cake pops are my thing. They are so much fun to make and so delicious to eat. It sorta gives the traditional cake a facelift with a fun spin. These Strawberry Shortcake Cake Pops are simply amazing! This recipe makes right around 30 of them. Let me know what you think!

INGREDIENTS

– 12 oz Pound Cake
– 16 oz Fluffy White Frosting
– 1 lb chopped Strawberries
– 12 oz White Chocolate Dipping Tray
– 30 Lollipop Sticks

DIRECTIONS

Crumble pound cake into large bowl.

Fold in strawberries

Add Frosting and mix well

Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm
Line a cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper
Form into 3/4 – 1″ balls and place on cookie sheet

Insert a stick in each
Place in freezer until hard
Melt chocolate by microwaving tray for 45 seconds, stirring and repeating until melted and smooth
Dip each ball in tray and twist around to cover completely, shaking off excess
Return to tray
Refrigerate for a few hours to allow coating to set and cake to thaw. Done!

    We love strawberries and already bought some twice at the store. Be glad when our local farmer’s market will start selling them. This recipe looks so yummy but I think for my family I would substitute the white frosting for chocolate.
